Even as young as six years of age, Francesca has memories of being in the kitchen with either of her grandmothers - both of whom were talented and well-renowned bakers - creating and decorating cakes, cupcakes, and other delectable sweets. She also recalls - due to having an art connoisseur and gallery owner for a father - being exposed to a vast array of visual art.
Over twenty years later, Francesca can again be found hard at work in the kitchen, combining both visual and culinary artistry in her work.
A graduate of English Literature at Queen's University, Francesca began her career in Print, Publishing, and Advertising in 2003. Her love of baking continued, and she often treated her colleagues to freshly baked treats.
While working full-time, she continued her studies in the Baking and Confectionery Arts and has had the privilege of learning from the best in the industry. She studied Bakery Arts at George Brown College, took numerous courses under Geraldine Randlesome, Kay Wong, Elisa Strauss, Bronwen Weber, and worked as an intern under the guidance of critically acclaimed cake designer Bonnie Gordon.
